Jennifer Hughes graduated valedictorian of Western Sierra Law School in 2006. She was the Student Bar Association President from 2002 to 2004. She assisted in student activities and tutored other students.
Ms. Hughes has worked in estate planning since her second year of law school, first as a certified law student, then as a law clerk, and now continues in the field as an attorney. In addition to estate planning, Ms. Hughes handles personal injury matters and contract preparation, review, and dispute resolution. Prior to law school, Ms. Hughes was a paralegal for an East San Diego County personal injury law firm.
Ms. Hughes chooses to practice primarily in estate planning because it is conducive to her personality–it is a helpful area of law and there is a universal need to have one’s affairs in order. She believes it is important to carefully examine a client’s situation and explain in plain language the recommendations she makes.
